Responsibility
- Provide direct patient care across assigned units with a focus on safety, comfort, and quality outcomes
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses, reporting any adverse events promptly
- Monitor vital signs, manage wounds, and assist with procedures as required
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, post-discharge care, and health maintenance
- Document all nursing care accurately in electronic health records and maintain confidentiality
- Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and professional regulatory requirements
Qualification
- Active Registered Nurse license in Ontario or eligibility for licensure
- BSN preferred or diploma in Nursing from an accredited program
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in acute or hospital setting
- Proficiency with electronic health records and solid computer skills
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities
- BLS/CPR certification; ACLS as required by unit
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement
