Responsibility
- Lead daily field operations for road construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to optimize productivity and reduce downtime.
- Monitor project schedules, milestones, and budgets; identify risks and implement corrective actions.
- Enforce safety protocols, conduct toolbox talks, perform site inspections, and document incidents.
- Review plans, specifications, and quality control plans to ensure compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, inspectors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain tracking.
- Maintain accurate site documentation: daily reports, change orders, inspections, and communication logs.
- Supervise traffic control measures and coordinate with public agencies to minimize disruption and protect the public.
Qualification
- 5+ years of road construction or heavy civil experience; prior foreman or superintendent role preferred.
- Proven leadership, team management, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards (OSHA) and traffic control plans; ISA/ACC certifications a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications; experience with project management software and field reporting tools.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; strong organizational skills.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks; experience with basic heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as OSHA 10/30, NCCER, and first aid/CPR are preferred.
