TerraBuild Infrastructure is actively seeking a Road Construction Foreman to lead highway and street projects in the Charlotte, NC area. This role blends hands-on leadership with strategic oversight to deliver safe, high-quality roadways on time and within budget.
As a Foreman, you will supervise field crews, coordinate with engineers and inspectors, and ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Responsibility
- Lead and supervise road construction crews on active highway, street, and bridge projects.
- Plan daily work, allocate resources, and track progress against the schedule.
- Enforce safety programs, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with OSHA/DOT regulations.
- Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors to resolve field issues and maintain workflow.
- Review plans, specifications, and quality control inspections to ensure workmanship meets standards.
- Oversee equipment usage, material deliveries, and site logistics to optimize productivity.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, timekeeping, and project documentation for reporting and audits.
Qualification
- 5+ years of road construction supervision with a proven track record on large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of asphalt paving, concrete placement, earthworks, drainage, and road safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and method statements.
- Valid driver's license; CDL preferred; traffic control certification a plus.
- OSHA/DOT safety training and demonstrated commitment to a safety-first culture.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs as required.
- Proficiency with basic project management software and field reporting tools.
