Responsibility

  • Lead and supervise field crews of operators, flaggers, and laborers on road construction sites
  • Plan daily work, assign tasks, monitor productivity, and adjust plans as needed
  • Enforce safety protocols per OSHA and company policies; conduct toolbox talks
  • Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, inspectors, and subcontractors
  • Quality control for pavement, drainage, and asphalt/concrete work; verify thickness and compaction
  • Manage equipment and materials, track usage and inventory
  • Maintain accurate site logs, daily reports, and incident documentation
  • Ensure compliance with permit requirements and environmental regulations

Qualification

  • 3+ years of road construction leadership experience; heavy civil preferred
  • Proven ability to manage crews and meet project schedules
  • Strong knowledge of asphalt, concrete, grading, drainage, and earthwork
  • Proficiency with reading blueprints and construction plans
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification; safety-first mindset
  • Valid driver's license; ability to operate or coordinate with heavy equipment
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions, heat and cold, on multi-weather sites
