Precision Roads & Infrastructure, Inc. is seeking a skilled Road Construction Foreman to lead field crews on high-profile highway and arterial projects in the Houston metro area. This role combines hands-on supervision with strong organizational leadership to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
As a Foreman, you will coordinate daily field operations, enforce safety standards, review plans, and communicate with superintendents, contractors, and inspectors. The ideal candidate has a track record of productive team leadership, quality workmanship, and a proactive approach to problem-solving on busy construction sites.
Responsibility
- Lead and supervise field crews on road construction projects, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
- Enforce safety policies, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and grade sheets; communicate discrepancies to the project team.
- Manage equipment, materials, and subcontractor coordination to maintain project schedule.
- Monitor quality control, perform daily site inspections, and document issues for correction.
- Coordinate with the project superintendent and traffic control teams to ensure safe lane closures and detours.
- Track daily production metrics, report progress, and assist with scheduling and procurement as needed.
Qualification
- Minimum 5 years of road construction experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, civil drawings, and grade sheets; familiar with DOT standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple tasks under tight timelines.
- Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA 10/30) andη°εΊ safety programs; commitment to a safe work environment.
- Valid CDL Class A preferred; experience operating or coordinating with heavy equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and stand for long periods; physical stamina for demanding fieldwork.
- Experience with GPS grade control, setting forms, and paving operations is advantageous.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a plus.
