Responsibility

  • Lead planning, scheduling, and execution of road construction projects, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Manage field operations, crews, equipment, and subcontractors to deliver work safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor quality control, ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards, and conduct inspections.
  • Maintain project budgets, track costs, process change orders, and approve invoices.
  • Coordinate with design partners, inspectors, and clients; manage permits and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6; monitor critical paths.
  • Lead safety programs, conduct toolbox talks, and enforce OSHA standards across all crews.
  • Prepare progress reports and present status updates to stakeholders; escalate risks with mitigation plans.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of road construction project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of road construction practices, materials, QA/QC processes, and specification compliance.
  • Proficiency with scheduling and cost-control tools (MS Project, Primavera P6) and document control software.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification preferred; valid driver's license; ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, plans, and specifications; familiarity with contract administration.
  • PMP or CCM certification is a plus.
