Responsibility
- Lead planning, scheduling, and execution of road construction projects, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Manage field operations, crews, equipment, and subcontractors to deliver work safely and efficiently.
- Monitor quality control, ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards, and conduct inspections.
- Maintain project budgets, track costs, process change orders, and approve invoices.
- Coordinate with design partners, inspectors, and clients; manage permits and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6; monitor critical paths.
- Lead safety programs, conduct toolbox talks, and enforce OSHA standards across all crews.
- Prepare progress reports and present status updates to stakeholders; escalate risks with mitigation plans.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of road construction project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of road construction practices, materials, QA/QC processes, and specification compliance.
- Proficiency with scheduling and cost-control tools (MS Project, Primavera P6) and document control software.
- OSHA 30-hour certification preferred; valid driver's license; ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, plans, and specifications; familiarity with contract administration.
- PMP or CCM certification is a plus.
