Responsibility
- Lead comprehensive project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and risk management for road and highway projects.
- Supervise field crews and subcontractors, ensuring safe work practices, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor progress against milestones; manage RFI, submittals, change orders, and cost control.
- Enforce safety programs, conduct site inspections, and implement traffic control plans in coordination with authorities.
- Coordinate with design teams, inspectors, and clients to ensure design intent and regulatory approvals are met.
- Prepare and present progress reports, earned value analysis, and safety metrics to stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation, permits, and environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent field experience).
- Minimum 5 years of road construction project management experience on highway or major roadway projects.
- Strong knowledge of earthwork, drainage, paving (asphalt/concrete), grading, and bridge/culvert construction.
- Proficiency with scheduling and project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites across the Houston area as needed.
- OSHA 30-hour certification and a demonstrated commitment to safety and QA/QC.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
