Join our leading civil construction company as a Road Construction Project Manager. Based in Houston, TX, you will oversee highway and road modernization projects from feasibility to commissioning. Responsibility

  • Lead planning, scheduling, and execution of road construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, cost tracking, and procurement aligned with contracts.
  • Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, subcontractors, and city officials; ensure permits and approvals are secured.
  • Implement safety programs, enforce OSHA standards, and promote a culture of zero incidents.
  • Monitor quality control, manage RFI process, change orders, and risk registers.
  • Manage field crews, equipment, and subcontractor performance; ensure daily quality and productivity.
  • Prepare progress reports, KPI dashboards, and communicate status with stakeholders.
  • Ensure sustainable practices and environmental compliance on site.

Qualification

  • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of road construction project management experience.
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale highway or street improvement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Project, Primavera, or construction scheduling software; experience with Bluebeam or CAD is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Active safety certification (OSHA 30 or equivalent) preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, understand geotechnical reports, and interpret specs.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work extended hours during critical phases.
