We are seeking a seasoned Road Construction Project Manager to lead complex highway and arterial street projects in the Denver metro area. This role combines on-site leadership with strategic project oversight to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
As a Project Manager, you will coordinate design, permitting, procurement, field operations, and stakeholder communication to drive successful project outcomes. You will work cross-functionally with engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and municipal partners.

Responsibility
- Lead planning, scheduling, and execution of road construction projects from concept through closeout.
- Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, quality control, safety programs, and daily progress reporting.
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with DOT standards, permits, environmental requirements, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and municipal partners to resolve design and construction issues.
- Implement safety programs, train staff, and drive a culture of zero incidents.
- Prepare client updates, manage change orders, risk assessments, and project documentation.
- Monitor schedule progress and performance metrics, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in road/highway construction project management.
- Proven track record delivering municipal or state DOT projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of DOT standards, permits, right-of-way processes, and environmental compliance.
- Proficiency in scheduling and cost-control tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, and/or similar) and design software (AutoCAD/Civil 3D).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent; valid driver's license; ability to work in field conditions and travel as needed.
