GraniteRoad Constructors, Inc. is a premier civil construction firm delivering critical highway and road projects across the Southeast. We are seeking a proactive Road Construction Project Manager to lead multi-discipline teams from planning to closeout on large-scale road projects.
In this role, you will drive project success by coordinating design, procurement, field operations, safety, quality control, and stakeholder communication. Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end management of road construction projects from mobilization to closeout, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and procurement activities across multiple sites.
- Enforce safety standards, QA/QC programs, and environmental compliance on all field operations.
- Coordinate with clients, DOT regulators, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors; maintain transparent and proactive communications.
- Manage change orders, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to protect project scope and timelines.
- Monitor progress, prepare daily/weekly progress reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking for stakeholders.
- Oversee QA/QC testing, material approvals, and workmanship to ensure sustainable quality outcomes.
- Mentor field teams, optimize subcontractor performance, and lead site supervision to deliver safely and efficiently.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (Professional Engineer license preferred).
- 5+ years of road or highway construction experience with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6) and budgeting/estimation processes.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar modeling software; ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Deep understanding of DOT regulations, safety standards (OSHA 10/30), and QA/QC protocols.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites and teams.
- Willingness to travel to project sites across the Southeast as required; valid driver’s license.
