Join a leading civil construction firm delivering high-profile road and highway projects. We are seeking a seasoned Road Construction Project Superintendent to lead field operations, safety, scheduling, and quality on complex roadway projects in Houston, TX.
You'll collaborate with design teams, subcontractors, and municipal agencies to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to exacting standards.

Responsibility
- Oversee daily field operations on road construction sites, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment to maintain project schedule and budget.
- Lead on-site quality control, inspections, and testing of materials (asphalt, concrete, earthwork).
- Implement and enforce site safety programs, conduct toolbox talks, and manage incident reporting.
- Monitor progress, prepare progress reports, and update schedules using project management software.
- Maintain accurate documentation for change orders, RFIs, and QA/QC records.
- Collaborate with engineers and inspectors during reviews and hand-offs to operations teams.
- Mentor junior field staff and promote a culture of excellence and accountability.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent field experience).
- Minimum 5 years of on-site leadership experience in road or highway construction.
- Strong knowledge of asphalt, concrete pavement, grading, drainage, and earthwork processes.
- Proficiency with grading, surveys, and project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalents).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and QA/QC documentation.
