Job description
TerraRoad Constructors is seeking a results-driven Road Construction Project Superintendent to lead highway and arterial road projects from inception to completion in the Phoenix area. You will coordinate field operations, safety programs, subcontractors, and client communications to deliver high-quality infrastructure on schedule and within budget.

Responsibility
- Direct daily field operations on active road construction sites, ensuring schedule adherence and quality control.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and progress reporting for stakeholders.
- Oversee safety programs, enforce compliance with OSHA standards, and lead toolbox talks.
- Manage subcontractor coordination, procurement, and QA/QC procedures to meet spec requirements.
- Review design drawings, specifications, and RFI responses to resolve field issues quickly.
- Monitor cost control, change orders, and productivity to keep projects within budget.
- Coordinate traffic management, detours, and public communications to minimize disruption.
- Mentor on-site supervisors and crew, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
Qualification
- Minimum 5 years of road construction supervision experience on large-scale highway or arterial projects.
- Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary field teams, subcontractors, and client relations.
- Strong knowledge of earthwork, paving, drainage, concrete, and traffic control standards.
- Experience with construction management software (Procore, PlanGrid, MS Project) and blueprint reading.
- Strong safety mindset with track record of leading safety programs and OSHA compliance.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
