Responsibility

  • Supervise and participate in earthwork, drainage, and base preparation on road projects.
  • Operate or coordinate operation of heavy equipment (rollers, excavators, graders, pavers) as trained and certified.
  • Read and interpret civil drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and OSHA regulations; implement traffic control plans.
  • Quality control: monitor compaction, asphalt mix, concrete slabs; document results.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors to maintain schedule and budget.
  • Assist in site planning, daily labor allocation, and equipment maintenance planning.
  • Prepare daily reports, logs, and material usage records to support project close-out.

Qualification

  • Minimum 3-5 years of road construction or related heavy civil experience.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL preferred; ability to operate equipment with certification.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification; multiple equipment operator certifications preferred (dozer, excavator, roller, paver).
  • Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, grades, and project specs.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and on-time project delivery.
  • Physical stamina for outdoor, year-round work and capability to supervise crews.
