Join a dedicated team as a Safety Officer with a Private Advertiser in Subic, Zambales. This contract role focuses on protecting workers and safeguarding project timelines by ensuring strict safety compliance across all on site activities. You will lead by example, conduct regular inspections, identify risks, and promote a culture of safe work practices among the crew.
You will partner with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to implement and enforce safety policies that meet Philippine safety standards and industry best practices. You will investigate incidents, prepare thorough reports, and coordinate corrective actions to prevent recurrence, while maintaining clear documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
Key responsibilities include risk assessment for new tasks, permit to work coordination, emergency preparedness planning, equipment safety checks, and ongoing safety training. You will conduct toolbox talks, monitor compliance with safety procedures, and ensure proper use of PPE and safety controls. Your proactive approach will help minimize incidents and contribute to on time project delivery.
We offer a competitive monthly salary of ₱20,000, with on site duties in Subic, Zambales. Responsibility
- Plan and conduct regular site safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with Philippine OSH regulations and client safety standards.
- Lead incident investigations, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Develop and enforce safe work procedures and permit to work systems for all construction activities.
- Coordinate toolbox talks and safety trainings for workers, foremen, and subcontractors.
- Monitor use of PPE, machinery guards, fall protection, and other safety controls on site.
- Maintain accurate safety records, near miss reports, and incident statistics for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Collaborate with site leadership to drive continuous safety improvements and compliance with local regulations.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA 30 or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of construction safety experience on-site.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine OSH regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, training, and report writing skills.
- Willingness to work on-site in Subic and handle physically demanding environments.
