Join Private Advertiser as a Safety Officer in Legazpi City, Albay. This contract role focuses on safeguarding workers and ensuring the site meets strict safety standards. You will lead safety programs, perform risk assessments, conduct regular inspections, investigate incidents, and promote safe work practices across construction sites. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail oriented, and capable of communicating clearly with site teams, supervisors, and management. As the on-site safety leader, you will collaborate with project teams to embed safe work practices into daily operations, drive continuous improvement, and protect workers and assets. You will maintain compliance with local regulations and company policies while delivering practical safety solutions that minimize risk and downtime.
Responsibility
- Develop and implement site safety programs to meet regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites and facilities.
- Identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, prepare reports, and track corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- Provide safety training to workers and contractors, including orientation and toolbox talks.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE and safety equipment on site.
- Monitor compliance with safety protocols, prepare safety metrics, and report to management.
- Coordinate with project teams to integrate safe work practices into daily operations and project timelines.
Qualification
- Certified Safety Officer or equivalent accreditation recognized in the Philippines.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in construction safety or related environments.
- Knowledge of Philippine safety regulations and OSH standards; familiarity with OSHA guidelines is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure in fast-paced project environments.
- First aid and emergency response capabilities; basic firefighting training is a plus.
- Excellent written and spoken English; proficient in Filipino is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to various site locations as required.
