Join Prodelcon, a leading provider of industrial solutions, at our Bayan Lepas Plant in Penang. We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Sales Engineer to bridge customer needs with our engineering teams and deliver high-value solutions that meet performance targets and specifications.

In this role, you will own the customer journey from initial contact through post-installation support, collaborating with sales, engineering, and project teams to translate complex requirements into compelling proposals and successful deployments. You will conduct product demonstrations, deliver technical presentations, prepare accurate quotes, and help customers realize measurable value through our solutions.

Responsibility

  • Own and drive the full sales cycle in Bayan Lepas and surrounding areas, from lead generation to order closure.
  • Understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions with input from engineering.
  • Lead pre-sales activities including product demonstrations, technical briefings, ROI analyses, and tailored proposals.
  • Collaborate with R&D and project teams to scope solutions and respond to RFI/RFPs.
  • Prepare accurate quotes, negotiate terms, and close deals while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate installation, commissioning, and customer training to ensure successful deployment and post-sales support.
  • Maintain robust account plans, track opportunities in CRM, and report performance against targets.
  • Provide market feedback and competitive insights to help shape product strategy.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics or a related technical field.
  • 2-5+ years of sales engineering or technical sales experience in electronics, automation, or industrial equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics, controls, instrumentation, and automation systems.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; fluent English; additional languages a plus.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with customers and cross-functional teams; willingness to travel within Penang and beyond as needed.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and data-driven sales approaches; ability to translate technical specs into customer value.
