Join NCH Asia, a respected leader in water treatment and process solutions, as a Sales Engineer based in Kuala Lumpur. In this client-facing role, you will fuse technical expertise with strategic sales to deliver reliable water treatment systems that meet the evolving needs of industrial customers. You will partner with customers across manufacturing, food and beverage, hospitality, and municipal sectors to optimize water quality, reduce operating costs, and ensure regulatory compliance.
As a key member of our regional team, you will translate customer requirements into compelling value propositions, demonstrate equipment and chemical dosing programs, and support project feasibility with sound commercial analysis. You will work closely with engineering, service, and product teams to design solutions, prepare proposals, and guide projects from initial contact through installation and after-sales support. Responsibility
- Prospect and develop new accounts in the water treatment sector by understanding client processes and requirements.
- Present and demonstrate water treatment equipment and dosing programs to engineers and procurement teams.
- Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and competitive quotes aligned to customer needs.
- Collaborate with engineering and service teams to design solutions and ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract closure and post sale support.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts, monitor performance, and identify upsell opportunities.
- Attend industry events, conduct client visits, and deliver formal product demonstrations and training as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
- 2-4 years of experience in water treatment sales or technical sales in Malaysia or the wider region.
- Strong knowledge of water treatment technologies such as filtration, reverse osmosis, softening, disinfection, and process controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay; ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing multi-stakeholder projects.
- Proficiency with CRM software and MS Office; ability to prepare proposals, pricing, and project plans.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites across Malaysia.
