Job description

Overview: Asurion is seeking a dynamic Sales Lead in Kuala Lumpur to drive retail performance and partner engagement across key consumer electronics retailers. You will own end-to-end in-store execution, optimize promotions, and lead a high-performing field team to achieve ambitious sales metrics while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Impact: Your data-driven approach will translate insights into action. Monitor KPIs, analyze sell-through, and refine merchandising strategies to maximize market share. Build and sustain strong relationships with major retailers and channel partners, negotiating terms and ensuring adherence to brand standards and retailer guidelines.

Your day-to-day: Plan and execute launch campaigns, promotions, and seasonal assortments; train store teams and partner staff on product knowledge and selling techniques; manage stock flow, stock availability, and returns. Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to drive impactful campaigns and product launches in Kuala Lumpur, measuring success and reporting results to leadership. This role requires travel within the city and occasional regional travel as needed.

Responsibility

  • Lead in-store sales initiatives and retail performance across assigned channels in Kuala Lumpur, driving revenue growth and KPI attainment.
  • Build and manage partner relationships with major retailers and channel partners, negotiating terms and ensuring alignment with brand standards.
  • Analyze sales data, track KPIs (conversion rate, average order value, sell-through), and provide actionable insights to regional leadership.
  • Develop and execute promotions, merchandising plans, and training programs to maximize visibility and sales.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to plan launches and campaigns; coordinate cross-functional execution.
  • Coach and develop store teams and partner staff on product knowledge, selling techniques, and customer service excellence.
  • Oversee operational excellence: stock control, order fulfillment, returns, and compliance with retailer requirements.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of retail sales, channel management, or field sales experience, preferably in consumer electronics or technology products.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with sales analytics tools or CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills; fluent in English, Malay is a plus.
  • Demonstrated merchandising, promotions planning, and in-store execution experience; willingness to travel within Kuala Lumpur and surrounding areas.
