In this contract role, you will promote and sell John Deere tractors and farming equipment to farmers and agribusinesses in Palembang and surrounding areas. You will be the face of the brand, delivering practical solutions that help customers improve productivity, reduce downtime, and increase profitability. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing new business, nurturing existing accounts, and collaborating with service and parts teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. You will leverage product knowledge to provide accurate recommendations, deliver compelling demonstrations, and present clear ROI calculations. You will also manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and proposals to contract negotiations and order fulfillment. The role requires regular travel within Palembang and adjacent regions to meet customers at farms, cooperatives, and agribusiness sites.

Responsibility

  • Develop and execute regional sales plans to achieve targets for John Deere tractors and equipment in Palembang and surrounding areas.
  • Build and maintain relationships with farmers, cooperatives, agribusinesses, dealers, and service partners to drive customer success.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, on-site consultations, and ROI-focused presentations to showcase the value of Deere equipment.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to proposal, negotiation, and contract signing, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecast opportunities, and report sales activity to the Sales Manager.
  • Coordinate with service, parts, and installation teams to ensure smooth delivery, installation, training, and after-sales support.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and channel expansion.
  • Represent the company at local events, trade shows, and customer visits to grow brand awareness and pipeline.

Qualification

  • Diploma or higher in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales; familiarity with agricultural equipment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of John Deere products or large-scale farming machinery is advantageous with willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to travel regionally within Palembang and surrounding districts; valid driver's license preferred.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office; data-driven with strong organizational skills.
