Job description

Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya, a trusted name in the Indonesian FMCG sector, is seeking a motivated Sales Representative to join our Yogyakarta team. In this field-based role, you will be the primary ambassador for Garudafood products, building relationships with retailers, supermarkets, and distribution partners to expand coverage and drive sustainable growth. As a key member of the sales organization, you will plan and execute territory strategies, negotiate shelf space and promotions, and ensure consistent availability of our popular snacks and beverages. You will collaborate with marketing to deliver in-store promotions, product demonstrations, and sampling campaigns to boost product visibility and trial. You will also collect market insights, monitor competitive activity, and report results to the sales manager to inform planning and forecasting.

Requirements include a minimum of 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG or retail. A valid SIM C driving license and own vehicle are essential for daily travel within the district. You should possess excellent communication and time-management skills, a customer-service orientation, and the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibility

  • Build and maintain relationships with retailers and distributors across the Yogyakarta territory to expand Garudafood's market presence.
  • Meet and strive to exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets for Garudafood products.
  • Plan route-to-market, manage orders, and optimize merchandising and shelf placement at key retailers.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, tastings, and in-store promotions to drive trial and loyalty.
  • Provide timely sales reporting, forecasts, and territory planning to the sales leadership.
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute promotions and gather customer feedback for product improvements.
  • Ensure high standards of merchandising, pricing integrity, and compliance with company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and route plans, and prioritize customer service.

Qualification

  • 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG or retail sectors.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
  • Own SIM C and a personal vehicle with a valid driving license; willingness to travel within the Yogyakarta area.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Target-driven, self-motivated, and capable of working independently to achieve goals.
  • Solid knowledge of the local market in Yogyakarta; proficiency in Indonesian language; English is a plus.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and sales tools for reporting and forecasting.
