Responsibility
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students aged 11-18.
- Create and adapt curriculum materials to promote critical thinking and creativity.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, offering constructive feedback.
- Support and mentor students during extra-curricular activities and school events.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Participate in departmental meetings and ongoing professional development.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and leadership teams.
- Uphold safeguarding and welfare policies consistent with best educational practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field (PGCE or equivalent preferred).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or eligibility to obtain.
- Proven teaching experience within a secondary school environment.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of UK national curriculum standards.
- Passion for fostering literacy, analytical and creative skills.
- Committed to professional growth and student success.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain it).
