Responsibility
- Design and deliver engaging English lessons to students aged 11–18, following the National Curriculum.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
- Develop creative instructional materials that cater to diverse learning needs and backgrounds.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal development.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to facilitate student success.
- Organize and participate in extracurricular activities, events, and school functions.
- Remain updated on best teaching practices, integrating educational technology and innovations.
- Maintain a safe and orderly learning space, adhering to school policies and safeguarding regulations.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or closely related field (essential).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification (required).
- Minimum 2 years of secondary teaching experience, preferably in the UK system.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and engage diverse student groups.
- Passion for literature, language, and student-centered learning approaches.
- Up-to-date DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
