Responsibility
- Design and deliver engaging English lessons that meet curriculum standards.
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, exams, and projects.
- Create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that celebrates diversity.
- Incorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies for effective learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular activities and enrichment programs.
- Provide consistent feedback and communicate with parents about student development.
- Prepare students for GCSEs and A-Levels, ensuring readiness for exams.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school events.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, Education, or related field (PGCE or QTS required).
- Minimum 2 years classroom teaching experience at the secondary level.
- Deep knowledge of UK National Curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Demonstrated passion for fostering student growth and engagement.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
