Rivergate Preparatory School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Secondary School Teacher to join our high-achieving faculty in New York, NY. Responsibility
- Plan and deliver well structured, standards aligned lessons across designated subject area.
- Assess student progress using diverse formative and summative methods and provide timely feedback.
- Differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs and backgrounds.
- Manage a positive, inclusive classroom environment and establish clear expectations.
- Collaborate with grade level teams to plan cross curricular units.
- Integrate technology and data driven practices to enhance learning outcomes.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, mentoring, and school events as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Education or subject specific degree with subject matter expertise.
- Valid teaching credential or eligibility for certification in New York State.
- Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience at the secondary level (preferred).
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student centered pedagogy.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and use data to inform practice.
- Proficiency with learning management systems and digital assessment tools.
