Responsibility
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the national curriculum and school expectations, including GCSE/A-Level preparation where applicable.
- Assess student progress, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate records to inform next steps.
- Establish and maintain a positive, well-managed classroom that fosters respect and safety for all learners.
- Differentiates instruction to meet diverse learner needs, including SEND and EAL students.
- Collaborate with subject teams to design schemes of work, assessments, and enrichment activities.
- Utilize data and assessment outcomes to plan targeted interventions and push for excellence.
- Engage parents/guardians through meetings and timely communication about pupil progress.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area and UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or international equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching secondary students and delivering high-quality lessons.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design, assessment, and progression tracking.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Robust classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to support a range of abilities and backgrounds.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies; commitment to student welfare.
