Responsibility
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons for grades 9-12 that accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of advanced, on-level, and support students.
- Create an inclusive classroom culture that promotes respect, safety, and high expectations.
- Integrate technology and data analytics to enhance instruction and monitor student outcomes.
- Collaborate with department teams to align curriculum, pacing guides, and assessments.
- Engage with families through conferences and timely communication.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and extracurricular supervision.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a subject-specific field; Master's preferred.
- Valid teaching certification for New York state (or eligibility).
- Minimum 2 years of secondary classroom teaching experience.
- Strong classroom management and behavior support skills.
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and use data-driven decision making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; strong collaboration skills.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and fostering a growth mindset.
- Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems.
