Responsibility
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction to diverse groups of 9–12 grade students.
- Differentiate instructional strategies to meet varied learning styles and abilities.
- Design, administer, and analyze assessments to inform instruction and monitor progress.
- Maintain accurate student records, provide timely feedback, and communicate with families.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports equity, respect, and positive behavior.
- Collaborate with department colleagues, counselors, and administrators to support student success.
- Integrate technology and digital resources to enhance learning outcomes and engagement.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the broader school community as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area; valid New York State teaching certification.
- 2+ years of classroom teaching experience preferred; exceptional candidates with valid certification will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of New York State standards and an ability to align curricula accordingly.
- Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems (e.g., Google Classroom, Canvas).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and manage diverse, multilingual classrooms.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the wellbeing and success of every student.
- Willingness to engage in professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
