We are seeking a dedicated Secondary School Teacher to join Beacon Hill Preparatory School in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will inspire students in grades 9-12, foster critical thinking, and deliver engaging instruction across core subjects. This is a full-time position with a commitment to equity, inquiry-based learning, and student growth.
As a member of our faculty, you will collaborate with department teams to design rigorous curricula, implement evidence-based instruction, and assess student progress through varied assessment methods. You will also contribute to the school's culture by mentoring students and participating in school-wide initiatives.

Responsibility
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons for grades 9-12 in your assigned subject area.
- Design and implement curricula that meet Massachusetts standards and school-wide learning goals.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs and provide appropriate accommodations.
- Assess student learning using formative and summative assessments; provide timely feedback to students and families.
- Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement and behavior management.
- Collaborate with colleagues on unit planning, cross-curricular projects, and school initiatives.
- Integrate technology and data-driven practices to enhance instruction and monitor progress.
- Engage families through effective communication and regular progress updates (conferences, emails, and portfolios).
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Education or subject area; hold or be eligible for teaching certification in Massachusetts.
- Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience in secondary education preferred.
- Strong knowledge of current pedagogy, differentiated instruction, and formative assessment techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.
- Commitment to equity, inclusivity, and culturally responsive teaching practices.
- Proficiency with classroom technology and learning management systems (e.g., Google Classroom, Canvas).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and collaborative planning.
