The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality instruction, foster critical thinking, and support students across grades 6-12 in core subjects and electives. Responsibility
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons for secondary students in assigned subject areas.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs, including ELL and students with IEPs.
- Assess and monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments; provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom culture with clear expectations and routines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design cross-curricular projects and align instructional strategies vertically.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians through conferences and regular updates.
- Integrate technology and data-driven methods to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Qualification
- Bachelorβs degree in Education or a related subject area; valid Illinois teaching license/certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of secondary classroom teaching experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum standards (Common Core or state equivalents) and assessment best practices.
- Proven ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems.
- Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive teaching.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, manage multiple priorities, and stay organized.
