Responsibility
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in Mathematics or Science, aligned with national curricula and assessment frameworks.
- Develop and implement schemes of work, unit plans, and timely assessments that track student progress.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Promote a positive, inclusive classroom culture with effective behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design cross-curricular initiatives and contribute to department improvement plans.
- Utilize ICT and educational technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Participate in safeguarding, pastoral care, and professional development activities in line with school policies.
Qualification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or international equivalent; eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science, or Education; a postgraduate teaching qualification is a plus.
- Experience teaching secondary students (KS3-KS4) with a track record of achieving positive outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of GCSE (or national assessment) requirements and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and staff.
- Commitment to safeguarding, welfare, and professionalism; willingness to complete DBS clearance.
- Experience differentiating instruction and using data to drive improvements; proficient with classroom technology.
