Responsibility
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned premises to deter security breaches and identify hazards.
- Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, log visitors, and enforce visitor policies.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies; coordinate with authorities and emergency services as needed.
- Observe and report safety concerns, maintain clear incident logs, and prepare concise daily activity reports.
- Operate CCTV surveillance and security systems; monitor for irregularities and escalate appropriately.
- Provide courteous and professional assistance to tenants, employees, and visitors; de-escalate conflicts when possible.
- Collaborate with onsite teams, property managers, and law enforcement to maintain a safe environment.
- Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and post orders; participate in ongoing security drills and training.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant security training or certification is a plus.
- Valid security license or certification as required by Malaysian law; ability to obtain/renew credentials as needed.
- Physical fitness to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods; ability to respond quickly during emergencies.
- Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills; fluent in English and Malay recommended.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer literacy; familiarity with CCTV systems or access control is a plus.
- Prior security experience preferred but not required; committed to learning and professional growth.
