Responsibility
- Monitor and control access to buildings and restricted areas in accordance with policy.
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned zones to deter theft, vandalism, and safety hazards.
- Identify and report safety risks, hazardous conditions, and potential security incidents.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, providing clear and concise documentation.
- Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain detailed logbooks for audits and investigations.
- Coordinate with property management, tenants, and security teams to resolve issues and maintain safety standards.
- Operate and monitor security technologies (CCTV, access control, intrusion systems) and ensure system integrity.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training preferred.
- Current security officer license or ability to obtain per state requirements.
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills with sound judgment.
- Excellent communication and customer-service orientation.
- Physical fitness to stand, walk, and perform security duties for long periods; ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Proficiency with security technologies (CCTV, access control, incident reporting software).
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
