Responsibility
- Patrol assigned premises on foot or via vehicle, monitoring for safety threats and unusual activities.
- Enforce access control, screening, and visitor management to ensure only authorized individuals enter.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies; coordinate with internal teams and, when needed, local authorities.
- Prepare accurate incident reports, security logs, and shift handover notes with clear, actionable details.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigations to improve safety.
- Provide professional customer service, de-escalate conflicts, and maintain a calm presence during tense situations.
- Maintain security equipment, check post orders, perform routine patrols, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; security training or certification preferred
- Valid security guard license for New York; eligible to obtain license if not currently licensed
- Minimum 2-3 years of security operations, loss prevention, or related field
- Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills; ability to write clear incident reports
- Basic first aid and CPR certification; AED knowledge is a plus
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods; physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Familiarity with CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and security technology; tech-savvy and quick to learn
