Job description

Join our premier security services team as a Security Operations Manager in New York City. This role combines strategic program leadership with hands-on security operations to protect personnel, assets, and information. You will design and implement risk-based security strategies, oversee incident response, and elevate our security posture across all sites.

We seek a proactive, data-driven leader who can partner with executive stakeholders, manage security vendors, and drive continuous improvement in training, policies, and technology.

Responsibility

  • Lead and manage daily security operations across multiple sites in the NYC metro area.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain risk-based security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
  • Oversee investigations, incident response, and crisis management with rapid escalation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with facilities, IT, and executive teams to ensure physical and cyber security integration.
  • Manage security vendor and contractor relationships, procurement, and service level agreements.
  • Perform regular security risk assessments, audits, and business continuity planning.
  • Design and deliver training programs to raise security awareness across the organization.
  • Monitor security metrics, generate executive dashboards, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminology, Information Security, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive security operations experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in incident response, investigations, and crisis management.
  • Strong knowledge of access control, video surveillance, alarm systems, and physical security technologies.
  • Experience coordinating with law enforcement, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CPP, PSP) or equivalent; ability to obtain security clearance if required.
  • Willingness to travel within the New York City area as needed.
