Join our leading actuarial team in New York City. As a Senior Actuarial Analyst, you will lead pricing, reserving, and risk analytics initiatives for multi-line insurance portfolios. Responsibility
- Lead the development of actuarial pricing models for property and casualty and life products using R, Python, and SQL.
- Perform reserving analyses and develop credible loss reserves and risk assessments.
- Design and implement risk analytics dashboards to monitor key performance indicators.
- Own data extraction, cleaning, and validation from multiple sources for modeling.
- Collaborate with underwriting, product, and finance to translate actuarial findings into actionable business recommendations.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to actuarial methodologies and process improvements.
- Present findings to senior leadership and external stakeholders with clear, data-driven storytelling.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; progressive actuarial progress (FOA/CAS exams) is preferred.
- 5+ years of actuarial experience in pricing, reserving, or risk analytics within an insurance or consulting setting.
- Strong modeling skills with R and Python; proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with actuarial software and databases (Prophet, MoSes, Igloo, or similar).
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and business partnering abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a collaborative environment.
