Responsibility
- Develop, validate, and maintain pricing and reserving models for selected product lines across Life, Annuities, and Property and Casualty portfolios.
- Analyze experience data, calibrate assumptions (mortality, lapse, morbidity, claims, expenses), and translate results into actionable business recommendations.
- Collaborate with pricing, underwriting, finance, and risk management to support product strategy and capital planning.
- Prepare management reports, board dashboards, and regulatory filings with clear, business-focused insights.
- Lead model governance, documentation, and validation processes, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
- Mentor and develop junior actuaries; contribute to training and professional exam progress.
- Identify opportunities to automate data workflows and improve model quality using SQL, Python or R, and actuarial software.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of actuarial experience in pricing, valuation, or reserving within comprehensive risk portfolios.
- Active or recently completed actuarial exams (SOA/ASA or equivalent); demonstrated progress toward professional credentialing.
- Strong programming skills in SQL and at least one data analysis language (Python or R) and advanced Excel.
- Experience with actuarial software such as Prophet, AXIS, or MoSes; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills; ability to translate complex models into business insights.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail, risk awareness, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
