NovaChem Labs, a leading provider of analytical chemistry solutions, is seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to join our Boston-based team. This role blends method development, rigorous data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to advance pharmaceutical and specialty chemicals projects.
As part of the R&D and QC groups, you will develop and validate analytical methods, oversee sample testing, and contribute to regulatory documentation. You'll work with HPLC, UHPLC, LC-MS, GC, and spectroscopic techniques, ensuring data integrity and compliance with GMP/GLP guidelines.

Responsibility
- Lead method development, optimization, and validation of analytical methods (HPLC/UPLC, LC-MS, GC) for active pharmaceutical ingredients and industrial chemicals.
- Plan and execute sample preparation, QC testing, and stability studies across multiple projects.
- Analyze data, interpret results, and prepare technical reports, SOPs, and regulatory documentation.
- Collaborate with R&D, QA, and manufacturing teams to ensure method transfer and scalability.
- Maintain instrument upkeep, calibration, and compliance with GMP/GLP and safety protocols.
- Mentor and train junior scientists on analytical techniques and data analysis best practices.
- Design experiments, manage timelines, and drive continuous improvement in analytical workflows.
- Lead deviations, investigations, and CAPA when issues arise in analytical testing.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field; PhD preferred; 5+ years of relevant industry experience for MSc
- Proven expertise with HPLC/UPLC, LC-MS, GC, and UV-Vis spectroscopy; method development and validation experience required.
- Solid working knowledge of ICH guidelines, GMP/GLP, and quality systems.
- Proficiency with data analysis software (ChemStation, Empower, MassLynx, LabVIEW) and statistical methods.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience preparing technical reports and regulatory submissions.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, lead projects, and mentor teammates; strong problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
