NovaForma Architecture is a design-forward firm delivering iconic spaces that blend form, function, and sustainability. We are seeking a Senior Architect to lead design teams in NYC on a diverse portfolio of cultural, commercial, and residential projects.
As a core member of our design leadership, you will drive concept development, coordinate with consultants, and oversee the creation of construction documents. You will mentor junior staff, advocate for high-quality detailing, and ensure projects meet budget and schedule targets.

Responsibility
- Lead conceptual design and develop schematic solutions from concept through construction documents.
- Manage design teams, coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project coherence.
- Develop and refine BIM models using Revit, including coordination with structural and MEP systems.
- Prepare and present design proposals to clients and stakeholders for approvals.
- Oversee code analysis, sustainability strategies, and materials research to achieve performance goals.
- Ensure construction documentation accuracy, detailing, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality control across all phases.
- Mentor junior designers and coordinate internal design reviews to maintain design excellence.
Qualification
- Licensed Architect in New York or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in architectural design and project delivery.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino/Grasshopper, SketchUp, and BIM coordination.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and sustainability frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead design teams and present to clients with confidence.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor or Master of Architecture from an accredited program.
- Compelling portfolio showcasing design innovation and technical proficiency.
