Job description

Arcadia Design Collective is seeking a Senior Architect to lead design development for high-end commercial and adaptive reuse projects in New York City. This is an opportunity to shape iconic spaces, mentor emerging designers, and drive sustainable design from concept through construction.

As a member of our design team, you will collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver outstanding architecture that blends artistry with practical performance.

Responsibility

  • Lead design development from concept through construction documents for complex, high-profile projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to align vision, budget, and schedule.
  • Oversee BIM workflow (Revit) and 3D visualization to communicate design intent.
  • Ensure code compliance, accessibility, and sustainability goals across all phases.
  • Mentor junior designers and manage multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Prepare and present design narratives, presentations, and documentation for planning approvals.
  • Review technical drawings for accuracy and participate in field coordination during construction.

Qualification

  • Minimum 8 years of professional architecture experience, with a strong portfolio in commercial, mixed-use, or adaptive reuse projects.
  • Master’s degree in Architecture; Licensure or eligibility to practice in New York preferred.
  • Proficiency in BIM (Revit), AutoCAD, Rhino/SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong design sensibility with the ability to develop compelling design concepts and refined details.
