You will be proficient in BIM, confident in presenting design concepts, and committed to sustainable design and quality documentation.

As a design leader, you will steward projects from early concept through construction, ensuring design intent, code compliance, and market viability while mentoring junior staff.

We offer competitive compensation, a collaborative studio culture, hybrid work options, and opportunities to shape cityscapes that inspire communities.

Responsibility

  • Lead conceptual and schematic design development for complex architectural projects in collaboration with clients and consultants.
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams, coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to preserve design intent through construction documents.
  • Develop and coordinate BIM models using Revit; enforce BIM standards, clash detection, and information management.
  • Guide sustainable design strategies and ensure compliance with LEED or other green building standards.
  • Prepare and present design proposals to clients and stakeholders; participate in design reviews and municipal approvals.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments; monitor progress and ensure quality control.
  • Mentor junior architects and interns; promote best practices in documentation, detailing, and design communication.

Qualification

  • Professional degree in architecture from an accredited program; licensed architect in the United States or pursuing licensure.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience with a strong portfolio in commercial, institutional, or high-end residential projects, preferably in the NYC market.
  • Proficiency in BIM and design software including Revit, Rhino/Grasshopper, SketchUp, and AutoCAD.
  • Solid knowledge of building codes, zoning resolutions, accessibility standards, and construction administration processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong presentation skills, and client-facing experience.
  • Experience leading project teams, coordinating with consultants, and managing project schedules and budgets.
  • Commitment to sustainability and high-quality documentation; familiarity with LEED or other green rating systems is a plus.
