What you will do includes leading design concepts, managing project teams, overseeing development of drawings and specifications, coordinating with engineers, presenting to clients, and ensuring code compliance and sustainability across projects. You will play a pivotal role in mentoring junior designers and contributing to the studio's design language.

Responsibility
- Lead design development for large-scale commercial and cultural projects, translating client goals into coherent architectural concepts.
- Direct and mentor project teams, coordinating architects, technicians, and consultants across schematic through construction documentation.
- Develop and manage drawings, specifications, and BIM models to ensure accuracy and constructability.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP engineers, and specialty consultants to integrate systems seamlessly.
- Present design proposals to clients and stakeholders, articulating concepts, costs, and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, zoning, accessibility, and sustainability requirements (LEED or equivalent preferred).
- Oversee project delivery timelines and budgets, monitor risks, and drive quality control throughout the lifecycle.
- Collaborate with leadership to refine the studio’s design language and maintain brand standards.
Qualification
- Licensed Architect in the United States with 8+ years of professional experience, including leadership of complex projects.
- Strong portfolio of commercial and cultural architecture demonstrating design excellence and buildability.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino or SketchUp, and BIM coordination; experience with rendering tools is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, zoning, accessibility, and typical NYC regulatory processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills; ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Experience overseeing construction documents, administration, and on-site coordination during construction phase.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
