Responsibility
- Lead design development for complex projects including urban housing, mixed-use, and cultural facilities, ensuring design excellence and feasibility.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to align scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop and refine massing studies, material palettes, and sustainability strategies using BIM and 3D modeling.
- Prepare technical drawings, renderings, and presentation packages for approvals and client reviews.
- Oversee construction documentation and administration, ensuring quality control and compliance with codes.
- Mentor junior architects and provide design leadership across projects.
- Present concepts and progress updates to planning boards and stakeholders.
- Drive optimization of project delivery through collaboration and iterative design.
Qualification
- Licensed Architect or able to obtain licensure in New York within 18 months.
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in architecture with a strong design portfolio.
- Proficiency in Revit, Rhino/Grasshopper, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Track record of leading projects from schematic design through construction documentation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relations skills.
- Strong understanding of building codes, accessibility, and sustainability standards (LEED or similar).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams across deadlines and budgets.
- High proficiency in presenting ideas to clients, planning authorities, and committees.
