Responsibility
- Lead design development from concept through construction documentation for complex, high-profile projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (engineering, sustainability, interiors) to define program, budget, and performance targets.
- Prepare and present design proposals to clients, review boards, and stakeholders with clear rationale and visuals.
- Develop and coordinate BIM models (Revit) and 3D visualization to support design decisions.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning, and accessibility standards; oversee permit and submission packages.
- Mentor junior architects and coordinate information exchange between design teams and consultants.
- Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to maintain quality and schedule.
- Contribute to firm-wide design standards, sustainable strategies, and knowledge sharing.
Qualification
- Professional licensure or eligibility to licensure in Ontario; 8+ years of practice in architecture.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating range across sectors, with focus on performance and materiality.
- Fluency in BIM workflows (Revit) and visualization tools (Enscape, 3ds Max, Rhino).
- Excellent knowledge of building codes, accessibility, fire safety, and permitting processes.
- Experience leading teams, client liaison, and coordinating with consultants.
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English; additional language a plus.
- Bachelor or Master of Architecture from an accredited program.
