Nova Motors Tech is a pioneer in electric vehicles and autonomous mobility. We are seeking a Senior Automotive Software & Electrical Systems Engineer to join our Detroit based team and help shape the next generation of high performance EVs.
In this role you will bridge software and hardware across domains to deliver safe, high quality embedded control systems for domain controllers and vehicle networks. You will collaborate with hardware, battery and sensor teams to optimize performance, safety and user experience.

Responsibility
- Lead the architecture and integration of embedded software across ECUs and domain controllers
- Develop and validate CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet and AUTOSAR based software components
- Collaborate with hardware, battery and sensor teams to optimize performance and safety
- Implement safety processes compliant with ISO 26262 and perform hazard analysis and risk assessments
- Design, simulate and test software using MATLAB/Simulink, Python and hardware-in-the-loop systems
- Drive design reviews, code quality improvements and provide mentorship to junior engineers
- Deliver robust features within aggressive timelines while maintaining traceability and documentation
Qualification
- Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
- 7+ years in automotive software and hardware integration
- Strong experience with AUTOSAR, CAN/CAN FD, Ethernet and other vehicle networks
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python and MATLAB/Simulink
- Solid understanding of ISO 26262 functional safety lifecycle and processes
- Knowledge of power electronics, sensors and ADAS domains
- Excellent problem solving, communication and cross functional collaboration skills
