  • Collaborate with engineering, electronics, software, and supplier teams to define and validate system-level requirements.
  • Own verification & validation plans, performance targets, and traceability across the development lifecycle.
  • Perform DFMEA, design reviews, and ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and IATF 16949 framework.
  • Guide supplier integration, interface definitions, and validation of external components and subsystems.
  • Mentor junior engineers, manage timelines, risk, and scope to deliver on schedule and budget.
  • Drive NVH, durability, reliability, cost optimization, and manufacturability improvements.

Responsibility

  • Lead system architecture decisions across propulsion and vehicle control domains.
  • Define and manage system-level requirements with cross-functional alignment.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive verification and validation strategies.
  • Coordinate DFMEA activities and ensure design robustness for safety-critical systems.
  • Oversee supplier engagement and integration testing for new components.
  • Mentor engineers and drive project milestones with measurable outcomes.
  • Optimize performance, weight, cost, and manufacturability while meeting quality standards.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering; Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years of automotive engineering experience with ECU/ECM and vehicle network integration.
  • Proficiency in CAD (CATIA/Siemens NX) and systems modeling (Simulink/Simscape).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety and IATF 16949 quality processes.
  • Experience with HIL testing, software/hardware integration, and root-cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% as needed and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
