Job description
We are seeking a senior automotive systems engineer to join our ADAS and autonomy team in Detroit. You will lead cross functional design, development, and validation of advanced driver assistance systems for next generation vehicles. This role blends hardware and software integration, system architecture, and test driven development to deliver robust safety critical software.

Responsibility
- Lead architecture and integration of ADAS algorithms including sensor fusion, perception, and localization.
- Define system architecture for ECU software and ensure modular, scalable implementation.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and test teams to validate performance using hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop simulations.
- Drive safety compliance and ASIL planning, hazard analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop and review requirements, system verification plans, and test cases to ensure full coverage.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross functional project timelines and deliverables.
- Support supplier collaboration and integration of third party components and tools.
Qualification
- BS or MS in electrical engineering, computer science or related field with 5+ years automotive experience.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and model-based design.
- Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR architectures and ADAS instrument clusters.
- Proficiency with CAN, LIN, Ethernet and gateway architectures.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety standard and system safety analysis.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem solving skills.
