As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will join a cross-functional team focused on delivering reliable, high-performance services powering our platform.
Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using modern tech stacks and a microservices approach.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and data teams to translate business needs into scalable features.
- Drive performance optimization, reliability, monitoring, and incident response.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
- Own API design, security, and data integrity across services.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to accelerate delivery.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term platform roadmap.
Qualification
- 5+ years of backend development experience in production-grade systems.
- Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin with experience in Spring or similar frameworks; comfortable with microservices.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and in-memory stores (Redis).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), containers (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Proven ability to ship features with ownership and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of security, scalability, observability, and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication skills and English fluency.
