BioNova Research Institute is seeking a Senior Biologist to join our Genomics and Translational Research team in Boston, MA. Responsibility
- Lead and oversee genomics experiments from conception to data interpretation
- Design experimental workflows, develop SOPs, and ensure rigorous quality control
- Analyze sequencing data using bioinformatics tools; summarize results for stakeholders
- Train and mentor junior scientists and technicians
- Collaborate with wet lab, data science, and clinical teams to translate findings
- Manage project timelines and budgets
- Prepare manuscripts, presentations, and reports for internal and external audiences
Qualification
- PhD in Biology, Genomics, Molecular Biology or related field; or MS with 5+ years relevant experience
- 5+ years hands-on experience with next-generation sequencing and library prep
- Proficiency in R and Python for data analysis
- Strong experience with bioinformatics pipelines and data visualization
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex data clearly
- Proven project management and leadership skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
