Pulse Media Group is seeking a Senior Broadcast Engineer to join our live production team in Los Angeles. You will manage end-to-end broadcast workflows, ensure signal integrity, and support high-availability studios and remote broadcasts. We value innovation, reliability, and collaboration with producers, editors, and technical staff.
Responsibility
- Lead and maintain live production systems, including video routers, switchers, and robotic cameras
- Architect and implement broadcast workflows for multi-channel live events and daily studio programming
- Monitor signal integrity across SDI, IP, and HDMI networks; troubleshoot in real time
- Coordinate with IT, engineering, and operations to ensure uptime and disaster recovery readiness
- Oversee workflow automation and control room automation systems
- Manage maintenance schedules, vendor relationships, and spare parts
- Provide on-call support during critical broadcasts
- Document procedures and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
- 5+ years of broadcast engineering experience in live TV or streaming environments
- Proficient with SDI, SMPTE standards, IP-based workflows, NDI, and encoders/decoders
- Experience with broadcast automation systems and control room technologies
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work under pressure and on tight live production schedules
- Relevant certifications (CBCP, CBNT, or similar) are a plus
- Willingness to relocate or commute to Los Angeles as required
