Responsibility
- Ensure uninterrupted on-air playout and streaming delivery across platforms.
- Monitor and troubleshoot transmission paths, encoders/decoders, automation, and playout systems.
- Manage studio infrastructure including routers, encoders, decoders, ingest servers, and related hardware.
- Implement changes in collaboration with production and engineering teams, following change-control processes.
- Maintain comprehensive runbooks, documentation, schedules, and disaster recovery plans.
- Lead incident response, perform post-mortems, and drive continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and implement new broadcast technologies, workflows, and cloud-based playout.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in on-call rotation.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Broadcast Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in broadcast engineering with live TV or multi-platform streaming experience.
- Strong knowledge of video encoders/decoders, RTP/RTSP, RTMP, and CDN delivery.
- Experience with broadcast automation systems and playout workflows.
- Solid IT networking skills (LAN/WAN, VLANs, switches, firewalls) and proficiency with Windows/Linux servers.
- Ability to troubleshoot under pressure and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent documentation, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Relevant certifications (CBNT, SBE) are a plus.
